Privacy policy

JaanchLo checks suspicious messages and calls for scam patterns. It is designed to know as little about you as possible: there are no accounts, no cookies, no advertising and no analytics.

In short: we never store, log, sell or share the messages you check. Each check happens in memory and is forgotten as soon as the verdict is returned.

1. The JaanchLo website

When you use the checker at jaanchlo.regnor.systems, the scam engine runs inside your own browser. The text you paste is not sent to our servers at all.

2. JaanchLo inside ChatGPT

When you use JaanchLo in ChatGPT, ChatGPT sends our server only what a tool needs:

Check a message: the text of the message you asked to check, and a language preference (English or Hindi).
Check a call: yes or no answers about what the caller did, and a language preference.
Reporting steps: which of three situations applies (money lost, details shared, or nothing lost), and a language preference.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, location, bank details or any part of your conversation history. The text is evaluated by a deterministic rule engine in memory, the verdict is returned to ChatGPT, and nothing is written to disk or kept in any database. Our code contains no logging of message content, and this is checked by an automated test in our public source code.

Please avoid pasting OTPs, PINs, passwords or full card numbers. JaanchLo does not need them to judge a message.

3. Who else is involved

Vercel hosts our website and server. Like any web host, Vercel may record standard request information (such as IP address, time, page address and response status) in its own operational logs, under Vercel's privacy policy. These logs do not contain the message text you check.
OpenAI operates ChatGPT. What you type into ChatGPT is handled under OpenAI's privacy policy.
Google Fonts serves the typefaces on our web pages.

We do not sell or share any data with anyone else, because we do not keep any.

4. Retention

Message text and answers: not retained at all. Hosting request logs: kept only for the period set by Vercel's own policy.

5. Your choices

You can disconnect JaanchLo from ChatGPT at any time in ChatGPT's settings. As we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete, but you are welcome to contact us with any question.

6. Children

JaanchLo is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

7. Changes and contact
